MISSION STATEMENT

Friends of Roseville’s Harriet Alexander Nature Center (FORHANC)

 exists to advocate for quality programs and activities at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center, to promote preservation of the environment and conservation of natural resources, to increase the visibility of the center and community awareness of its goals, to raise funds through membership fees, donations and fund raisers for the enhancement of the center’s programs and physical operations effectiveness.

Wild Rice Festival

A celebration of wild rice, Native American culture, and Minnesota’s fall season.
Highlights include:
· Fundraising wild rice pancake breakfast
· Wild rice sausages, wild rice soup, fry bread, and more
· Traditional wild rice harvesting demonstrations
· Native American dance group and story-telling
· Children’s games and activities
· Hands-on apple cider pressing
· Silent auction, to raise funds to support the Nature Center
· And much more!

 

As usual, there is no admission charge to the public.

The 6th Annual Wild Rice Festival

volunteer members of the

Friends of Roseville’s Harriet Alexander Nature Center (FORHANC).

Proceeds from the event support the Nature Center, part of the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department,

and its mission of environmental education
